Google SafeSearch For Schools Now Supports HTTPS
Google’s Brian Fitzpatrick, Engineering Director, announced on the Google Security Blog that the Google Safe Search feature that network administrators can force over their networks now supports HTTPS.

That means if the network administrators upgrade to the new protocol, all searches over Google will not only be forced to Safe Search filters but also be secured over HTTPS/SSL.
Brian explained “going forward,
organizations can require Safe Search on their networks while at the same time ensuring that their users’ connections to Google remain encrypted.”
There are three methods for forcing Safe Search, described over here:
(1) Forcing on each and every individual computer
(2) Forcing them on Chromebooks or Chrome browser
(3) Forcing it at the router level.
The old method will be depreciated in December.
